Crate improv_gui 

Improv desktop GUI (improv-gui) — Phase 5.

An egui/eframe front-end: a view over the engine (see .agent/steering/AGENT_GUI_STEERING.md §9). It loads a model from a store (a Mentat file or a postgres://…?model= URL), renders a measure as a pivot grid, and (Phase 5 increments) offers a model browser, formula editor, and Info panel.

A read-only chart view of the FOCUSED matrix’s measure.

completion 🔒

Formula autocomplete, window-free: the word being typed before the caret, what may complete it (functions, measures, categories), the ghost text painted after the caret, and the edit that accepting a candidate makes. The formula editors draw the list, the ghost and the signature tooltip from these.

csv_wizard 🔒

CSV/TSV import/export wizard: form state + pure spec-building for the GUI panel (rendered by ImprovApp::csv_import_ui/csv_export_ui in app.rs). Mirrors the CLI’s import-csv/export-csv semantics (delimiter auto-detected from the .tsv extension unless overridden; item_id_base set high enough to avoid colliding with hand-assigned ids — see crates/cli/src/main.rs::cmd_import_csv/cmd_export_csv) so the wizard behaves exactly like improv import-csv/export-csv.

diagnostics 🔒

Located formula errors, window-free: the byte span of the formula an error is about, its message, and a “why” hint for the common cases (a misspelled name, the wrong number of arguments, a ( left open, an aggregation without OVER). The formula editors underline the span and show the message and the hint under the row.

formula_highlight 🔒

Pure syntax highlighting for the formula editor: &str -> LayoutJob.

function_help 🔒

The function help browser (Help ▸ Functions…, F1), window-free: the search, its results grouped by category, and the selection in them. The app draws the window from a Browser.

menu 🔒

The NeXTSTEP application menu (spec §4.1): a vertical floating panel with a black title bar and beveled items, whose submenus cascade to the right.

nxwin 🔒

NeXTSTEP window chrome for in-app floating windows (spec §3, §4.3, §5).
